Jeff Evans

Name: Jeff Evans
Occupation: Civil Engineering
# Years of Involvement: 5 years
Why did you become a mentor?
"I enjoyed the program as a team member and decided to come back for more!"
What do you do to help the team?
He works with inital designs, assists in the implication of those designs, and specializes in team scouting. Jeff is one of our most valuable assets at competition.
What is your favorite memory with the team so far?
"Annihilating the competition at the 2006 Boilermaker Regional!"
What is the best part of being a mentor?
"I love the interaction with the students. Since I'm a younger adult, I'm able to effectively communicate with students and older mentors alike, thus bridging the gap."
If you had to describe your experience as a mentor in ONE word, what would that word be?
Inspiring!
What were you like in high school?
I was a bit of an unusual student. I was really goofy, but was able to keep my focus.
What background in robotics do you have? (educational, career related, other)
I'm a former member from the 2006 team and a student of the game since.
Favorite quote?
Judge me by what I know, not by what I do.
